The aim of my laboratory is to identify and study novel genes involved in breast cancer and unravel the collaborating genetic pathways leading to breast cancer and breast cancer progression using mouse mammary tumor virus (MMTV) induced insertional mutagenesis in mouse models. genes of interest: R-spondin genes, Irs genes and membrane associated mucins (MUC1)
High throughput in vivo MMTV mediated insertional mutagenesis screens, protein biochemistry, retroviral transduction, in vivo tumorigeneicity and metastasis assay's
various mouse models including K14-cre; p53f/f and MMTV cNeu transgenics
